TERMINATION OF PARENTAL RIGHTS

This passed week I was asked an interesting question in regards to terminating one's parental rights and the result on a parent's duty to support that child. Michigan is one of the view states in the union that takes the minority view and states that when a parent voluntarily terminates their parental rights they do not relieve themselves from the duty to still support that child.

HAND SHAKE AGREEMENTS

If you are a business man do not do hand shake agreements. You can enforce these but it will cost money and time. Unless its a take or leave it shake and then contact your lawyer to draw up the contract and have both sides sign.

A contract drafted by a competent business lawyer will protect your business and investment.
